I am an architectural historian, with not one but two mildly useless degrees, and I work in the city of Washington, D.C. I am a Virginia native (with all that that implies) and specialize in architecture of the colonial period.
Architecture can be wonderful or it can be awful- to offer hope to the beleaguered masses in their expressionless canyons of drywall, I document historic buildings that represent architectural achievements of style, technology, or character. No one should have to live with uninspired or unlovely! Explore your world and see what wonderful built things are in it. Then go tell everyone you know that vinyl is never ok.
Love,
Gray O’D in DC
I came across your blog and thought it was interesting. As a native Washingtonian, I am always in awe of its architecture – its art. Architecturally speaking there is always something new to discover.
